Adding branches
What this is for
A branch is one physical location. If you run more than one, each gets its own tables, staff, menu, stock, shifts and figures — all under one login, with a switcher to move between them.
If you only have one location you still have one branch. You just never think about it.
What a branch keeps to itself
This matters more than the setup, so it's worth reading first:
| Separate per branch | Shared across the restaurant |
|---|---|
| Tables and areas | Your restaurant name and logo |
| Menus, categories and items | Currency and formats |
| Operating shifts and opening hours | Taxes |
| Staff assignments | Roles and permissions |
| Orders, payments and reports | Your plan and add-ons |
| Stock, if you use it | Customer records |
The consequence people trip over: your menu is per branch. Adding a dish to your second location does not add it to your first.
Adding one
- Go to Settings › Branch Settings.
- Select Add Branch.
- Give it a Branch Name — something staff will recognise, like "Riverside" or "Airport".
- Add its address and contact details.
- Save.
Switching between branches
Use the branch switcher in the top bar. Everything reloads for that branch: its orders, its tables, its menu, its numbers.
Always check which branch you're in before you change a price or void an order. Working in the wrong branch is the single most common multi-branch mistake.
Copying a menu to another branch
You don't have to type your menu in twice.
- Go to Menu › Menu Items.
- Select Copy between branches.
- Choose either Copy to other branches (push this branch's menu out) or Copy from other branch (pull another branch's menu in).
- Select the branches.
- Confirm.
Menus, categories, items, modifier groups and modifier links all come across. Anything that already exists at the destination with the same name is skipped — nothing is duplicated and nothing is overwritten. That makes it safe to run again after you've added a few new dishes.
Good to know
- You need at least two branches before the copy option does anything.
- Copying brings the menu structure over, not your sales history.
- Prices come across as they are. If your second location charges differently, adjust after copying.
