Your plan and billing

What this is for

Your plan decides two things: which add-ons you have, and what limits you run into.

Under Settings › Billing.

What's on the screen

  • The plan you're on.
  • What it includes — which add-ons are entitled.
  • Your limits.
  • Payment history and invoices.
  • Renewal date.

Limits worth knowing

Plans can cap things, and you meet a cap at the worst moment if you don't know it's there:

LimitWhat happens
Daily orders"Order Limit Reached" — no new orders until it resets or the plan changes.
BranchesYou can't add another location.
POS machines per branch"POS machine limit reached for this branch" — see Registering terminals.
AI tokens per monthThe assistant stops until the package renews — see What the assistant does.

Check your limits before a busy period, not during one. A daily order cap hit at 8 pm on a Saturday is a real problem with no quick fix.

Add-ons

Add-ons are entitled by your plan rather than installed by you. If a section of this guide describes something you don't have, that's why.

Two independent things have to be true for a feature to work:

  1. Your plan includes it.
  2. Your role has permission for it.

Which is why Why can't I see this screen? checks both.

To add one, get in touch — see Getting support.

Changing plan

Upgrading generally takes effect straight away, and the new add-ons appear in your sidebar. You may need to sign out and back in.

Downgrading removes access to add-ons that are no longer included. Your data isn't deleted — inventory items, loyalty balances, hotel bookings all remain — but the screens for them go away until the add-on returns.

Think about that before downgrading something you've been actively using. A stock system you can no longer open is worse than one you never had, because your team has built habits around it.

Payments and invoices

Payment history and invoices are on the billing screen. Download them for your records — that's an expense like any other, and worth recording as one. See Expenses.

Renewal

Note the renewal date somewhere you'll see it. Two things reset with it:

  • AI tokens, if you have the assistant.
  • Any other monthly allowance on your plan.

Who should see this

Billing shows what you pay and what you're entitled to. Show Billing is its own permission, and for most restaurants it belongs to the owner and nobody else. See What each role can do.

Good to know

  • Billing is per restaurant, not per branch. One plan covers all your locations, subject to the branch limit.
  • Add-ons appear and disappear from the sidebar with your plan.
  • Data survives a downgrade. Access doesn't.
  • If something you're entitled to isn't appearing, sign out and back in before assuming a fault — entitlements are cached.
