Start here for your job

Restodesk looks different depending on what you do. Find yourself below and learn the handful of screens you'll actually touch. You can ignore the rest until you need it.

Owner

You set the place up once, then mostly read the numbers.

Set up, in this order

  1. Your restaurant — name, logo, contact details, currency, timezone.
  2. Opening hours and operating shifts. Do this before you look at any report: it's what decides where one trading day ends and the next begins.
  3. Your branches, if you have more than one.
  4. Taxes — three decisions, all worth getting right before your first order.
  5. Your team, and what each role is allowed to do.
  6. Your menu — start here, then categories, items and modifiers.
  7. Areas, tables and QR codes.
  8. Payment methods and receipts.

Then, week to week

Your dashboard, the sales report, your expenses, and due payments. If you're not sure which report you want, start here.

Manager

You run the floor and the week.

Cashier and waiting staff

You'll live in one screen.

Kitchen

You work the tickets.

Delivery

You pick up, deliver and settle.

  • The delivery app — signing in, seeing your assigned jobs, and moving one along: picked up, on the way, arrived, delivered.
  • Cash on delivery — what you collect and how it's settled at the end of a shift.
