What you can do with Restodesk
One system for the whole operation. Here's the shape of it, from the front door to the back office.
Add-on marks a part that only exists if your plan includes it — see what’s included, and what’s an add-on.
Front of house
Six ways an order can start. They all feed the same stream.
The pass
Wherever it came from, it becomes one order that everyone works from.
Back of house
What the kitchen sees, and what making the dish uses up.
Underneath all of it
One restaurant, one or many branches. Everything above — menu, tables, orders, reports — belongs to a branch, so two sites never see each other’s numbers. Branches
Roles decide who sees what. The same screen shows a waiter less than it shows an owner. What each role can do
Your trading day, not the calendar day. If you serve past midnight, the night’s takings stay on one day’s report. Opening hours and shifts
Take orders, however they come in
Restodesk handles every way an order reaches you, and treats them all the same once they land:
- At the table — your staff ring it up on the POS, or the guest scans the QR code on the table and orders themselves.
- Over the counter — takeaway, rung up and paid on the spot.
- For collection — the customer orders ahead and picks it up.
- For delivery — assigned to one of your delivery people, tracked to the door.
- From a self-service screen — a kiosk in the entrance takes the order without staff.
Each type has its own set of steps, and the order moves through them automatically as your team works. You can also define your own order types if none of those match how you trade.
Run the till
The POS is built for speed on a busy service:
- Build a bill by tapping items; sizes and add-ons prompt as you go.
- Apply discounts, service charge and tax — configured once, applied automatically.
- Split a bill between guests, hold a tab, or merge two together.
- Take payment by cash, card, or any method you set up, and print or email the receipt.
- Refund a whole order or part of one, against a reason you define.
- Keep selling when the internet drops. Orders queue on the device and sync the moment the connection is back.
Build and control the menu
- Multiple menus (lunch, dinner, weekend) with their own items and categories.
- Items carry photos, descriptions, prices, sizes and availability.
- Modifier groups handle sizes, extras and choices — "how would you like that cooked", "pick two sides" — with their own prices.
- Allergen labelling for the 14 declarable allergens.
- Bulk upload the whole menu from a spreadsheet instead of typing it in.
- Share the menu as a link or a PDF.
Manage the room
- Lay out your floors and areas, and put tables in them.
- Print a QR code per table so guests can view the menu and order from their phone.
- Guests can call a waiter from that same screen; the request appears for your floor staff.
- Take reservations, with your own rules for which days, which hours, and how many covers.
Keep the kitchen moving
- Every order produces a kitchen ticket (KOT), printed or worked on a kitchen screen — items marked cooking and ready as they're made.
- Route items to the right place — grill, bar, pastry — so each station only sees its own work.
- A customer display and an order board show guests what's happening with their order.
Handle delivery
- Set your delivery zones and fees.
- Register your delivery executives; they get their own app to see and complete assigned jobs.
- Track cash on delivery per driver, and settle it at the end of a shift.
- Connect the third-party delivery apps you already use.
Look after customers
- A customer record for every guest, with their history and addresses.
- A customer ordering site — your own menu and checkout, no app to install.
- Customers can create an account, save addresses and re-order in two taps.
- Loyalty points and stamp cards that turn into discounts automatically.
- Collect reviews after the meal.
Watch the money
- Every payment recorded, by method, by shift, by branch.
- Due payments tracked so nothing owed gets forgotten.
- Expenses, expense categories, vendors, and recurring expenses for the bills that repeat.
- Taxes configured once and applied everywhere.
- A cash register with opening float, denominations count, and shift handover — so you know the drawer balances before anyone goes home.
Know what's actually happening
Reports covering sales, items, categories, orders, tax, refunds, cancellations, removed kitchen items, delivery, cash on delivery, due payments received, and expenses. All of them respect your business day — if your service runs past midnight, the sales stay on the right day.
Grow past one room
- Multiple branches under one login, each with its own tables, staff, stock and reports.
- Multiple tills in one branch, each tracked separately.
- Your own web address for the restaurant.
- Rooms and hotel — room types, rates, check-in and check-out, guest folios, room service charged to the room, housekeeping and banquets.
Stay in touch automatically
Order confirmations and status updates by email, WhatsApp or SMS, plus browser and app push notifications. You choose who gets told what — customer, admin, kitchen, or driver.
Ask instead of digging
An AI assistant built in, so you can ask questions about your own business in plain language rather than hunting through reports.
